  1. I believe that Gardner was right. There are several types of intelligences, that can slightly differ throughout time, and each person in intelligent in different types, but still intelligent.

  2. I do not believe in those types of intelligences. There may be a way how to categorize people into those groups but there are always some exceptions or some mixtures. I do not like categorizing people or anything else into some categories in general. Everyone is different.

  3. It really depends upon how the word intelligence is defined. In Gardner's theory, four of the intelligences can be easily described as a talent or a skill.

I do not like the general logical IQ tests because as Gardner proposes, empathy or inter/intrapersonal reflection is not projected into them (and the tests are too long and boring as hell). However, it will probably be liked in general public, because without further thought about it, any individual will think that they are highly intelligent, because they got a high score in one of the intelligences.

  4. I believe the Gardner theory is right, at least to some extent, because it reflects the human personality the best. If it wasn't true and each of us had the same intelligences, assumably we would all have the same abilities, know the same things, understood the same way, learn the same way, we could do the same things and we would probably have the same opinions. But since each of us is different in our abilities, knowledge and opinions, there must be something that makes our thinking processes unique. So it must be this special set of intelligences that shapes our thinking and perspective.

I believe that these tests really only copy what you wish pr would like to be known about yourself. The results also depend heavily on the not so pronounced factor of being sure/certain. People that don't ever use the highest or lowest "marks" aren't really saying much about themselves and through that can alter the results quite easily or even make them not worth anything.

Many questions are also not phrased directly enough an such they leave the reader to interpret the meanings as he or she wishes, this can also outscale your results, making the margin of error greater than should be.

These tests should also be considered private information and treated with utmost respect and openness. It is hard to anwer to the best ability and consciousness while being in a place that puts you under pressure.

  6. I believe that the theory is partly right. However I think that the intelligences can change over time and can be influenced by the environment the person lives in (the environment can influence our interests and therefore the intelligence can become more developed).

  7. I do not think that he is right or wrong. I think that these types of intelligence exist. But on the other hand, I believe that there could be some changes.

I believe that the results from the test can give you a broader look at yourself thanks to which you can develop not just your own character but also your characteristics. However, it should not be relied on completely as the results for each intelligence-system is limited to a certain point thank to some of its vague options to answer. Still, it does not hurt to take at least one such test to see yourself in graphs and numbers.

This theory also need a real life testing, people sometimes tend to mark what they believe they are, but there is no further application on real life scenarios. Of course, this whole idea of "we are all special in a different way" is warm fuzzy and comforting, but without actual proof, data and so on, it is hard to determine theory's credibility.

  10. I agree with Gardner. I believe that we have multiple intelligences but one of them is always the most significant.

I believe that everyone is able to distinguish his/hers own qualities without the use of some kind of an IQ test. Everyone should pursue these qualities. It is unnecessary to feel bad about not being good at some particular field or activity. Every one of us is a special snowflake in a way.

I believe, that these tests can show the strengths and weaknesses of each individual and these individuals can even recognize themselves with this and it can help them realize, what they are and what they can do to possibly improve themselves in those fields, that were not high enough on the scoring scale.

Personally, the theory itself can be right, but the evolvement of humans can lead to different results over time.

  13. I can agree with a statement that each person is good at something and should be equally commended for such. The one problem with MI is the fact that some of the fields might be considered skills and not really inteligences in a sense of Cognitive research. Which is one of main resons based empyrical data used aganst Gardner. Good example is difference between question "What it is" and "Where it is" can a person really be considered inteligent just because of his/her spatial "inteligence" without any actual knowledge about the object?

  14. The theory of MI is quite flaky.

It sounds nice, but as one takes a closer look and starts digging, it appears the theory starts to fall apart and appear more or less false. Gardner says the intelligences are something a person is born with and develops over time, but such thing cannot be claimed.

Sure, a person develops in many ways, but it is not because there is this "program", which says what the person will be good at in life inside that person, but because that person goes through some situations and the "intelligences" develop BASED ON experience.

To believe something a professor of Harvard says, one needs to see the other side as well.
